Call for action on incentives

Director Wayne Clingman with a visiting California film maker at the 1st Festival

Indie Film Wisconsin Film Festival plans to have a day and time set in the Kenosha area to host a meeting to discuss the state of film incentives in Wisconsin, and the steps needed to go forward to bring this matter to the state legislature, by the end of the week. The plan is to invite leadership from both parties, as well the Governor’s office, to attend. To that end we are insisting that all in attendance are treated with respect.

This is an effort to do what we can to move forward, since for whatever reason any previous effort has gone nowhere.

We are aiming for the latter part of May or early June.

FYI: I was the man who called the first meeting of what would create the film incentives then form the first group to be Film Wisconsin/
